Social Ventures, the Second Evolution with Customized Start-up Support!

The Work Together Foundation Establishes the Social Venture Incubating Center







The opening ceremony for the Social Venture Incubating Center, established and operated by the Work Together Foundation (www.hamkke.org, chaired by Song wol-joo) and sponsored by the Life Insurance Social Contribution Committee (Chaired by Lee Woo-chul), was held on the 3rd floor of the Work Together Foundation building on December 15th. Representatives from the eight selected social ventures and guests participated in the ceremony and celebrated the beginning of the center as a Mecca of discovering and nurturing social ventures.




Eight different company representatives who were selected as the move-in teams for the Social Venture Incubating Center, the Work Together Foundation, the Haja center, the Hankyoreh Economic Research Institute (HERI), and other experts from social venture-related organizations had a meeting to collect various opinions about the Social Venture Incubating Center before the opening ceremony.





Furthermore, a meeting of the steering committee of the Social Venture Incubating Center was held before the opening ceremony, with LEE Won-Jae (Chief of HERI), LEE Seung-Gyu (Professor of KAIST), YOO Byung-Sun (Editorialist of Kyunghyang Newspaper), and KIM Jong-Hwi (Vice president of the Haja Center) participating. The committee members agreed to decide on essential particulars for the development of the Center.



LEE Kwang-Taek (Executive director of the Work Together Foundation), NAM Tae-Min (President of the Life Insurance Social Contribution committee), YANG Bok-Seok (Director of Kyobo Life), YOO Byung-sun (Editorialist of Kyunghyang Newspaper), KIM Jong-Hwi (Vice president of the Haja center) and many other guests participated in the ceremony and encouraged the selected teams which are moving into the Social Venture Incubating Center.


The underground bands Nevada 51 and Windy City performed as the party continued after the opening ceremony, presenting passionate music; participants had a good time sharing makguli (traditional Korean rice wine) and rice cakes.
