The 2009 Social Venture Competition Pre-presentation Meetings:
Held in Seoul and Gangwon Province, Organized by Sector
The pre-presentation meetings of '2009 Social Venture Competition’ were opened to give wings to good ideas that brighten society. Their purpose was to catalyze and promote various ideas for social venture and cultivate the innovative minds of social entrepreneurs. It was operated by the Ministry of Labor, the Work Together Foundation (co-organized by Korea Social Venture Competition (SVCK), Hankyoreh Economic Research Institute, and Haja Center), with support from Small Business Agency, KBS, Donga- Ilbo, and SK. The competition kicked off its public relations at the beginning of May and proceeded in phases to dig out innovative ideas for social ventures and actualize them into business while going through the six local regions, then onto the national competitions.
The competition in Seoul and Gangwon province had differentiated its contest by dividing participating groups into youths, graduate (and undergraduate) university students, and finally an adult group in order to encourage participation from those equipped with various interests and ideas.

The application for the competition must be completed on the 25th of May, and 39 teams (in total) should be selected, with the regional final competition to be carried out on the 30th of June. The winners would be entitled to participate in the national competition as well as awarded as follows.
