Social Mission & Purpose
To develop an exchange-cooperating model which circulates resources between cities and rural areas, and to expand school meals with local foods by using local pro-environmental agricultural products

<Objective>
To revitalize soil, agriculture, and the environment
<Strength / Achievement>
-We founded Heuksalim laboratory in 1991 for improving agricultural conditions when farmers and professional researchers used foreign micro-organic materials for organic agriculture
-We expanded our research facilities and built cooperative relationships with farmers, for scientific change and the distribution of systematic pro-environmental agricultural techniques
- Our devoted efforts to realize the slogan of “scientific pro-environmental agriculture” encouraged farmers to become leaders in organic farming, which had lots of difficulties from inferior agricultural techniques
-We played an important role in resolving the difficulties of farmers who were aiming at proenvironmental organic farming with continuous related spot trainings and instructions on cultivation techniques
-We developed practical and pro-environmental agricultural techniques by experimenting in the member’s farmhouse, and tried to inspect the effectiveness and improve the quality of farming tools
-We spread agricultural techniques to pro-environmental farms by publishing a monthly magazine (newspaper), an informative magazine (twice a month), and a publication (a 12 bookseries of organic farming), and by pursuing the distribution of systematic pro-environmental agricultural techniques
<Sustainable Method>
1. We operate a cooperative farm for developing an exchange-cooperating model circulating resources between cities and rural areas [domestic rice (7 types), glutinous rice (8 types), cereals (10 types), wild flowers, seedlings of pro-environmental products for a kitchen garden, etc.]
2. We develop pilot businesses for school meals using pro-environmental products through an administration treaty with the Ochang Nonghyup (bank) in Cheongwon, which will also found a distribution center with exclusive use of pro-environmental products
3. We hold a Friday market for pro-environmental products once a week from March to November
